Panama is beautiful and fascinating, but beware of Aeroperlas if you are planning to fly in country. Aeroperlas personnel stole my camera, case, spare battery from baggage checked in with them. They did not return my phone calls or inquiries; finally their airport manager promised to pay me for the theft but has failed to do so. I would never fly with them again. There is an alternative airline, and buses are very cheap.

Aeroperlas left my luggage on the runway at Mamitupu Panama on March 1. 05 and still hasnt sent it on to me in NewYork, even tho Mr Belisario Garcia has promised when i have phoned him every week that it is on its way. Something must be done, but what ?

I HAVE LIVED IN PANAMA FOR MOST OF THE LAST 10 YEARS. MY BUSINESS REQUIRES ME TO FLY FROM DAVID TO PANAMA CITY ABOUT ONCE EVERY TWO WEEKS. I HAVE ALWAYS USED AEROPERLAS AND IN 10 YEARS HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM.

First thing's first. I have always been saying this over and over to educate the "uneducated" that it is rude to type and input they're message in all capital letters like John does. If following the right way to read your comment it more or less sounded like you are angry and shouting. Please people, try brushing up your internet etiquette first before going to forums and talking all mighty and proud.Then, there is this message from Wickam. honesty of the people doesn't depend on the airlines? But keeping such people will make an impression that they are not concerned for the welfare of the belongings of their customers which will eventually reflect to their reputation. This will not be happening, if they properly educated, trained, and compensate their employees or if indeed they're employee had steal something then I believe that they should return or pay for the things which their employee lost. The employee and the safety of the luggage is the full responsibility of the airline as long as the customers are inside it.

I think those thing happens all over the world, maybe on almost every airline their is and not only on mamitupu or aeroperlas (even with the best ones). The best thing to do is secure you baggage so even if someone from the staff of the airlines were tempted to steal some of your belongings, they would have a hard time forcing them to quit their misdeeds. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
