WiFi Hotspot SJO Airport San Jose Costa Rica

I was surprised by the sign announcing the wifi hotspot at the San Jose International Airport. It bragged that it was free, what more could you ask for?

And, after you get past the noxious registration it's free and works great. They claim to have support in all the terminals. Unfortunately there is a lack of electrical outlets so you'll be limited to your battery life time.

I tested download speeds of just over 200k and upload was around 80k. I just did a one time test for the hour it seemed to perform well.

Why hasn't that been promoted all over the place?

Vista Del Valle Plantation Inn now has an Internet Hotspot for their guests and it's also just 20 minutes from the airport.

There are already some more wifi hotspots in Costa Rica. The Mall Cariari and the Plaza Rohrmoser have wifi hotspots.
